French School was divided into 3 smaller trees, due to its size and the level of interrelation amongst its members.

Explanatory notes:

• The timeline of all graphs was designed to run from left (the oldest members) to right (the youngest ones).
• Arrows point from Teacher to a Student.
• Information given in brackets indicates the lifespan of the pianist/teacher, country of their origin and sometimes country where they spent most of their life.
• Arrows and names written in grey color indicate foregin influences.

In most browsers you can use Ctrl+ or Ctrl- to resize the content displayed on the screen.
